Unlike Rats that dwell hiding deep underground (unconscious) in infested areas; mice are more conscious to the dreamer. Mice are less threatening and harmful, however when the symbol of ‘mice’ emerges in your dreams, they are often considered ‘symbols of death‘. This symbol is metaphorically displayed connecting us to an ending or completion in our lives.
Mice can be considered allegories of gnawing thoughts, thus, chipping away at conscience, haunting us like ghost at night. In dreams, mice could symbolize our own feelings of rejection. They have the ability to transmit illness to humans; they act as a symbol representing a plague to the mind – or possibly a threat nearby.
There are many clues in your dream that will tell you if the threat is internal or external. Depending the context of your dream the meaning of the mouse can alter.

Personal Encounters: Mice Dreams
I noticed when mice appear in my dreams they are a warning to be very careful. They always predict events to come in the future. They can be thoughts, people or bad situations in your life. Mice emerge in my dreams to warn me about negative thoughts or people that I will encounter later on down the road.
Years ago I had a dream about a mouse entering my work place, as the door opened it ran in. It was a white mouse that scurried past me as I knew it was bad to have inside. During that time we hired a new employee that turned out to be trouble. She was very sneaky and troublesome. We had found out later she keeps moving from company to company trying to cause trouble. She didn’t last long, though one week before she left I had a dream the same mouse ran left the building. The door opened and it ran out. She only worked for a short time, though she wasn’t bad in the beginning she had the potential to become a dangerous threat.
