Post Got suffocated in Dream
on: August 12, 2017, 05:50

I got this dream a while back and I am curious to understand what it stands for.

In my dream, I was lying down in a meadow and it was dark and gloomy overhead.

I was looking up into the skies. It was getting darker and darker and the rain clouds which were getting formed were starting to come down. They were inching closer and closer, simultaneously I noticed a couple of dogs by my feet and they were shouting at me. I kind of knew that they were asking me to get away from that place like I am in some danger. But I didn't move and the clouds had inched even closer to me. Ultimately the clouds fell on top of me and suffocated me. I was trying to shout for help but no clear words were coming out of my mouth and I was just letting out groans. By this time I realized am in a dream and I was trying to wake up, but I was not able to move or open my eyes. I started panicking and I was shouting for help in real but again no clear words and only groans were coming out. I was also suffocating and not able to breathe in real.

I suddenly woke up from my sleep and finally I was able to breathe. I asked my uncle who was sleeping near me if he heard me groan in my sleep. Unfortunately he had been asleep and hadn't noticed anything.

Your inputs are appreciated

Lying down in a meadow reflects the idea of resting very a ease but in a very emotional position or with an emotional attitude. The longer you remain with this attitude, the less intelligence of the Lord's you end up using. (getting darker - less & less sunlight).

Rain clouds, which are usually quite dark, often represent a feeling of apprehension, depression, and gloom. This is a losing type of feeling to have. (clouds starting to come down) There is a real failing in a gloom and doom attitude. (clouds fell on me) By falling on top of you, this gloomy attitude gains control over you. The result is that this negative type of feeling prevents your access to God's knowledge and intelligence. (suffocated me - cuts of your air)

There is an instinctive aspect of your emotional nature - one which exhibits a feeling of friendship and loyalty towards yourself - which is trying very hard to get your attention (dogs shouting at me) urging you to get away from or off these grounds of reasoning. Note that by looking up at these clouds you in a position to give respect and honour to a gloomy attitude. The dogs can also represent friends who may be trying to focus your attention to your understanding (dogs by your feet) regarding your position.

Just letting out groans indicates that you are not able to express your pains and sorrows in words, that is, rationally but only as an emotion or feeling. By the time you realize that you are in a dream, that is, in a state where too much imagination and fantasy is being used, you cannot easily come to a greater state of awareness (wake up). You need to open your eyes, to let yourself see and understand more than your imagination has given you. The gloom and doom attitude is also having a suffocating effect upon your real life.
