Can Dreams Predict The Future?
There is a big debate whether dreams can actually predict the future or not. We are still trying to figure out what is the true purpose of dreams. Most experts believe we dream to assist the body with rest, repair and rejuvenation. That is still true to a certain extent, but how come they cant explain the gray area such as precognition, the foreknowledge of an event, especially as a form of extrasensory perception.
Sigmund Freud believed that dreams are the direct result of repressed emotions that represent unconscious thoughts, wishes or desires. Anybody who keeps a dream journal will tell you different. Some events or scenarios play out in peoples dreams that happen the next day, but where is the proof? This is where the scientific reasoning behind the purpose of dreams wins the argument. There will always be a tug or war between science and pseudo-science, but one must experience it for yourself to believe it. Once must learn the lost language of dreams and their symbols by keeping a dream log. One must understand that dreams are a metaphoric mirror reflection flipped upside down that never gives you what you want to see. Some might be lucky enough to get the full scenario played out word for word, picture by picture. Once you are able to decode your dreams you will see a pattern, one that predicts not only the future, but a hidden treasure that is waiting to be found in you.
Anyone who has started the process of self examination/introspection will have increased vivid dreams, symbols and themes come to life. The past dreams are as dull as VHS quality compared to Blu Ray that you will receive. Once you are able to tap into the unconscious then you will open the door to anything that would come your way. Psychic dreams don’t always have to predict external future events such as earthquakes and other nature disasters, but more internal discoveries
along our path in life. Your dream journal would be filled with life giving you daily hints on what to look out for and what to improve on internally. Predicting future events become a thing in its past as you use it as a tool to get closer to your “self”.
